Our Ministries:
Our
curriculum is age appropriate and gives each child an
opportunity to participate in games, music, crafts, and group activities.
Through these fun experiences we strive to teach each child about God and
His love for them, to explore the world which He created, and to learn the
basics of relationships. Children also learn to apply Biblical principles to
their daily activities.
We use Knowledge Goals and
Spiritual Growth Markers as benchmarks to
guide each child along the Kids' Ridge Trail.
Knowledge Goals help each child discover genuine faith. Spiritual
Growth Markers show how the child understands and applies what has been learned.
These benchmarks will also help you assist your child along their journey.
Nursery:
Our nursery is designed for infants
to children 2 years old. Through story and song these children
learn about God's love for them. For questions about this
ministry please contact our
Nursery Ministry Leader.
Preschool:
Throughout the summer our
preschoolers will be learning about God's character through the
stories of Jonah, Samuel, and Elijah. Each child leaves Kids' Ridge
with a handout designed to help parents discuss the lesson and
activities at home.
For questions about this
ministry please contact our
Preschool Ministry Leader.
Grade School:
Our grade school curriculum utilizes
a large group/small group approach. Each Sunday the large
group meets to praise God in song. Then small groups
break out (based on age) to get more age-appropriate teaching,
participate in games, and do arts & crafts. Each child leaves
with a handout to help parents discuss the lesson and activities at
home. To find out more about our curriculum click
here. For questions
regarding this ministry please contact our
Grade School Ministry Leader.
Special Needs:
At Mountain Ridge we have an
inclusive curriculum that utilizes 'Special Guides' to help each
child participate to the best of their ability. Our Special
Guides are volunteers who have a desire to serve special needs
children and their families. For questions about this
ministry please contact our
Special Needs Ministry Leader.
